Children’s Privacy & Parent Notice

Version 2026-09 · Dallas Select Baseball — DSB Mechanics Lab

This is the notice we are required to give you before collecting information from a child under 13, together with the specific authorizations we ask for and the disclosures required for Texas families. Your privacy policy and terms also apply.

Parent Direct Notice

DSB Mechanics Lab is a baseball player development platform operated by Dallas Select Baseball. This notice explains what we collect from a child under 13, how we use it, who receives it, and the rights you have as their parent or legal guardian. WHAT WE COLLECT FROM A CHILD - Account basics: name, email address used to sign in, graduating class year, position, and team or organization. - Date of birth, used only to determine the child's age group. We do not display it and we do not use it for advertising. - Baseball development information entered by the child or their coach: workouts, bullpen sessions, hitting sessions, throwing routines, game statistics, and measurable performance results such as exit velocity, pitch velocity, and running times. - Video the child or their coach uploads for mechanical review, and the coaching notes and automated analysis produced from it. HOW WE USE IT - To operate the training features the child and their coach use. - To generate mechanical feedback and development plans. Video and metrics submitted for automated analysis are stripped of the child's name and identifying details before they leave our systems. - To send development updates to you, the parent or guardian. WHO RECEIVES IT - The child's own coaches at their organization, and Dallas Select Baseball staff who administer the platform. - Service providers that store data, deliver email, and process the automated mechanical analysis, under contract and only for those purposes. - No one else. For a child under 13 we do not publish a recruiting profile, do not display contact information, do not make the child discoverable by college recruiters, and do not sell, rent, or share information for advertising. WE DO NOT CONDITION PARTICIPATION We do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to use the training features. YOUR RIGHTS AS A PARENT - Review the personal information we have collected from your child. - Refuse to allow further collection or use of your child's information. - Direct us to delete your child's information and close the account. - Withdraw any authorization you previously gave, at any time. Withdrawal stops the affected use going forward. You can exercise all of these from your guardian page, or by writing to privacy@d-selectbaseball.com. Verifiable Parental Consent

By providing verifiable parental consent, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the named athlete and that you authorize Dallas Select Baseball to collect and use their information as described in the Parent Direct Notice, version 2026-09. This authorization covers: - Creating and maintaining the athlete's training account. - Recording their workouts, sessions, statistics, and measured performance results. - Storing video they or their coach upload for mechanical review, and producing coaching feedback and automated mechanical analysis from it, with identifying details removed before any automated processing. - Sending you development updates about the athlete by email. This authorization does NOT cover public recruiting publication, display of contact information, or discoverability by college recruiters. Those require separate authorizations, and for an athlete under 13 they remain off unless you turn them on. You may withdraw this authorization at any time from your guardian page or by writing to privacy@d-selectbaseball.com. Withdrawal stops further collection and use, and you may also request deletion of everything collected.

Automated Analysis Disclosure

Separate authorization: disclosure to service providers that support automated mechanical analysis. Video and performance measurements submitted for automated analysis are transmitted to a third-party analysis provider with the athlete's name, email, birth date, school, and organization removed and replaced with a non-identifying reference. The provider processes the submission to return mechanical feedback and is contractually barred from using it for any other purpose. Declining this authorization does not affect the athlete's ability to use the rest of the platform; it turns off automated analysis only.

Recruiting Publication Authorization

Separate authorization: recruiting publication. Authorizing recruiting publication allows Dallas Select Baseball to make the athlete's recruiting profile — name, class year, position, school or organization, verified measurables, statistics, and any highlight video marked for sharing — available through a shareable recruiting link and, if you also enable it, to college recruiters using DSB Mechanics Lab. For an athlete 13 to 17, contact details are never published unless you separately authorize it. For an athlete under 13, recruiting publication is unavailable regardless of any setting. You may withdraw this authorization at any time. On withdrawal, we deactivate the athlete's recruiting link and return their profile to organization-only visibility.
